Monthly Wind Speed and Direction

(Template by Golden Software).grt

A Wind Rose Chart provides a visual summary of wind speed and direction at a single location over a defined period of record. Each spoke shows the frequency of winds from that direction, while color represents wind speed categories.

In this template, monthly wind roses are presented side by side to highlight seasonal variations in wind regimes. This format makes it easy to compare prevailing wind directions and speed distributions across the year, providing a clear picture of seasonal climate and site conditions.

Pro Tip – customize the colors for all the plots at once:

  1. Hold CTRL on the keyboard and select all the plots titled “Speed (mph)” in the Object Manager.
  2. In the Property Manager, on the Plot tab, click Speed (color) bins | Edit…
  3. In the Wind Speed Bins dialog, double click any fill to change it.
  4. Click Apply to see changes and OK to accept.
